ACCOMMODATION OF PREFECTURE
The Prefectural Authorities and Services of Drama were housed after 1913
in the building of the Turkish Prefecture, in which the Administration of Gendarmerie of Drama was housed after the war precisely on the right of the postwar Prefecture.
The building of the postwar prefecture belonged to the state and was erected in 1924, on the right of the central gate of the courthouse, where a kiosk now exists.
From June 1964 to the end of 1969, the prefecture and the services of TYDK the Prefectoral Fund, Public Accountant and The State Audit Council were housed on the 1st and 2nd floor of the private building, owned by Mr Papatheodorou. From January 1970 to the end of 1977 the prefecture was housed in the building called "Paraskevaidis" on the 2nd and 3rd floor and the above services and on the 1st and 2nd floor the Passport office and a few store rooms.
Since June 1977, the Prefectural Authorities and Services have been housed at the Administration Hall building in the region of the Railway Station.
